Misogyny is never more obvious than on the internet. Never have women been made so aware of other's opinions on them, the way women look, the way women talk, the jobs women do, the clothes women wear are constantly and consistently critiqued and commented upon. You don't have to look too far to find a death threat made toward a women for using her voice and exercising her right to claim her own space in the world - both online and offline. Despite all of this, writer and novelist Bonnie Greer OBE speaking at the Women in the World conference in early October said

“The snake always fights hardest when it’s going down.”

“It may not look this way, but this mess is crumbling.”

We're sure up for believing that Bonnie Greer is right, that the intense and widespread misogyny we see daily is just a sign that we're winning the war. That women are making progress and the tide is changing.
