Suffragette One of the most powerful moments I've had at the movies

Reading Hello Giggles writer Elena Sheppard explain that the first time she ever emotionally understood the struggle of women to win the right to vote was whilst watching Suffragette was actually pretty emotional itself. Read the article here.

It's a sobering, and infuriating, thought to consider that it wasn't even 100 years ago that women in the UK secured the right to vote. And as the credits roll on Suffragette we see a list of countries around the world alongside the date women were given the right to vote, sadly we're still waiting for some, such as the Vatican City for example, though women in Saudi Arabia are promised that they will be able to run and vote in elections this December.
