Curzon Clevedon one of the oldest continually running purpose-built cinemas in the world

About Us

Curzon Cinema & Arts, in Clevedon, North Somerset, England, is one of the oldest continually running purpose-built cinemas in the world. Opened on 20 April 1912, the original building had 200 seats and the first show raised funds for the survivors and relatives of those killed earlier in the month on the RMS Titanic.

Since 2014 the Curzon has developed its cultural offer through working with local arts organisations Living Spit and Theatre Orchard that has enabled live theatre, music, comedy, magic as well as a rich film programme including live satellite content as well as foreign language, documentary and art house film.
